Sept 2-3 Funky Junk Antique and Craft Show. Back for its 10 year anniversary (and 17th season), the Funky Junk Antique and Craft Show is a Labor Day Weekend tradition! Bursting with all the wonderful treasures, amazing crafts and friendly faces you love (and a few surprises too!), shoppers will find everything from salvage to retro and everything in between. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Bonner County Fairgrounds. This year’s event features a special tribute to the mining industry and history of the region! Enjoy live music both days and good food, too. $5 admission (valid for the entire weekend!); children 12 and under free.

Sept 9 Bonner County Citizens Preparedness Expo. Are you prepared for an emergency? Natural disaster? Severe weather conditions? Attend the 2nd annual Bonner County Citizens Preparedness Expo from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Bonner County Fairgrounds, 4203 N. Boyer Ave. There will be workshops all day featuring tips, talks, vendors, and displays on food and water storage, alternative energy, secure homes, go bags, emergency communications, wilderness first aid, types of emergencies to be ready for, safe gatherings, essential oils, first aid, and more! Sept  21-24 Idaho Draft Horse and Mule International. The Northwest’s largest draft horse and mule expo at the Bonner County Fairgrounds. 1- 208-263-8414

Sept 23 Hope Oktoberfest
. Memorial Community Center, 415 Wellington Pl. in Hope, hosts the 5th annual Oktoberfest from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Enjoy a festive dinner featuring brauts with all the fixin’s, sauerkraut, coleslaw and more, plus there will be beer on tap and a wine bar. Wear your dancing shoes with musical entertainment by Dennis Wilson and German Polkas by the Swing Street Band. Free admission; dinner is $20 for one person or $30 for two.
Sept 29-1 Head of the Pend Oreille Rowing Regatta. Crews from the Inland Northwest and Canada will converge for Idaho’s only rowing Regatta on Sept. 29, 30, and Oct 1. Located in Priest River, ID, the weekend event shall feature rowing competition, fun, and a barbecue on Saturday. Attendance is free, with the exception of the pre-purchase of BBQ tickets.
